Who we are

Tempest Design Engineering Ltd, trading as Tempest Engineering, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17349874. We are the data controller for any personal information handled through this site. Contact: StevenK@Tempest-Engineering.co.uk.

What we collect

This site has no contact forms, no user accounts, and sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send by email or phone: typically your name, contact details, and the content of your enquiry, which may include technical files you attach.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry, to scope and deliver engineering work you ask us to carry out, and to keep records we are required to hold for tax and company law. We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties except where the law requires or where a supplier (for example an email provider) processes it on our behalf.

Legal basis

Under UK GDPR: legitimate interests, for handling enquiries; contract, for work we agree to undertake; and legal obligation, for statutory record keeping.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to work is deleted within 12 months. Records relating to delivered work are kept for six years after the engagement ends, in line with statutory requirements. Material covered by an NDA or a customer's configuration management process is handled to that agreement's terms.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, email StevenK@Tempest-Engineering.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
